In 1985, as a response to market demand, Ellwood Quality Steels (EQS) commissioned its melt shop to be a premier producer of high quality, low cost, clean steel ingots. EQS is North America's leading supplier of high quality carbon, alloy, stainless and tool steel ingots for open die forging, extrusion and ring rolling. Additionally, we can service special applications for producers of closed die forgings as well as bar and plate products. Flexibility and responsiveness are emphasized in our organization to give our customers a competitive advantage for their own markets, which include areas such as aerospace, oil and gas, power generation, mining, ordnance, steel mill products, construction and heavy industrial manufacturing.
