Ellwood Group Inc. (EGI) is pleased to announce our Second Annual Metallurgy Scholarship Program in the amount of $25,000.00. This scholarship will be awarded on an annual basis to a talented and dedicated metallurgical student to encourage pursuit of a career within the steel/heavy metals industry. Our goal is to encourage more students to choose metallurgy as their field of study, to recruit more interns and graduates into the steel industry and specifically to Ellwood Group Inc.
The scholarship program will be awarded to a college junior majoring in metallurgy/material science at selected universities offering engineering programs. The scholarship includes a paid internship at an EGI business unit in the USA during the summer of 2009.
Scholarship finalists will be provided with an all expenses paid trip to EGI to tour our facilities, to meet a President of one of our companies and to speak with metallurgists at our facilities.

2007 Winner Announced
EGI is pleased to announce that Greg Lehnhoff of Longmont, Colorado is the recipient of the first annual $25,000 Metallurgy Scholarship. Greg is a student at the Colorado School of Mines with a Metallurgical & Materials Engineer major and minors in Math & Computer Science. Greg carries a 4.0 GPA. He is also scheduled for a 2008 Summer Internship with ECF.
A presentation of the scholarship took place at the Colorado School of Mines on February 1st, 2008. We are looking forward to having Greg join us and the contributions he is sure to make.
Tom Baily and Brad Hasek each were awarded a $1,000 scholarship. Tom is a student at the University of Missouri-Rolla majoring in Metallurgical Engineering and he carries a 3.875 GPA. Brad is a student at Pennsylvania State University majoring in Materials Science and Engineering and he carries a 3.83 GPA.
