CORRY FORGE

Located in Corry, Pennsylvania, Corry Forge Company was chartered in February 2003 as a manufacturing subsidiary of Ellwood City Forge. Corry Forge carries forward the production know-how, the quality assurance systems (including ISO 9002 certification), and the customer qualifications developed over decades by its former owner, McInnes Steel Company.

The Corry facility specializes in disks, hubs, rotors, shafts and related products for manufacturers in a wide variety of industries. It also specializes in the production of rods, hollow parts, nozzles and similar parts for the United States Navy and Commercial nuclear programs.

Corry Forge features include:

  • A 2,000-ton hydraulic open die press, which is an important supplement to the open die forging capability at Ellwood City Forge.
  • Heat treatment furnaces with agitated water and oil quenching that are qualified to MIL-STD-1684.
  • Air powered, open die hammers with up to 12,000-pound capacity to provide part-making capabilities unlike any other Ellwood facility.
  • Machining capabilities such as boring, vertical turret lathes, and milling.
The incorporation of the Corry facility into the Ellwood family of companies means Corry's customers now have access to an integrated material source at Ellwood Quality Steels, larger and different forging capabilities at Ellwood City Forge and Ellwood Texas Forge, and more extensive machining capabilities at Ellwood National Forge.
